How to install Windows 10 from scratch

The next thing we should do is insert the USB memory into the computer off and turn it on. Unless we have the BIOS / UEFI of our computer configured to boot from removable devices such as USB sticks first, we must press the F8 key repeatedly (or equivalent, depending on motherboard models) to boot the Boot menu and select on it our USB with Windows 10 to install. After some seconds,we will see the initial window from the Windows install wizard. In this window we must configure the language of our operating system, the time and currency format and the type of keyboard that we are going to use. Click on “Next” and in the new window that appears click on ” Install now “. The next step that the assistant will ask us will be to enter the license number of our Windows. If the license is recorded in the BIOS / UEFI of our computer, this window will not be seen. Otherwise, if we have it at hand we can enter it or, if not, click on ” I don’t have a product key ” to continue without such a license.

Next, the wizard will ask us for the version of Windows 10 that we want to install. Choose license for legality. Click on Next again and the license terms will appear, which we will accept to continue. Proceed next. Choose install type

update Windows and not lose data, choose «Update» feature

For a clean installation, we will choose «Custom».

In our case we select the second option, customized, and we will see a new step in the wizard where to choose the partition of the hard disk where we will install Windows 11 iso.

If we want to create partitions, click on “New” and configure the space we want to use for our Windows. If we do nothing, the wizard will automatically use all the space to install Windows (and create the 500 MB recovery partition). Click on “Next” and the installation begins.

We must wait for the installation process to finish. During which, the computer will restart several times and, in addition, we will see different phases of both the installation wizard and the initial configuration of our Windows 10.

If we have just installed  Windows 10 Creators Update , the wizard has been renewed and simplified. We explain it in the following article.

If we have installed any version prior to the Creators Update of Windows 10, the process continues as follows.

Initial setup after installing Windows 10

Once the initial installation and configuration of Windows 10 is finished we will see an initial configuration wizard from which we will have to configure our operating system.

If we are not worried about sending data from Windows to Microsoft, we must choose the option « Use quick settings «. However, if we want to configure everything that Windows 10 can or cannot do, we will choose «Customize». In our case, we will see the customization options.

This wizard is summarized in 3 steps. In each of them we will see a series of switches from which we can activate or deactivate the different options, such as sending application data and use to Microsoft, monitoring text input systems, sending error reports, etc.

In the next step, the assistant will ask us who our computer belongs to, if it is personal or part of a work environment. Choose the option ” mine ” and click Next. In further step, Windows asks for Microsoft account.

Microsoft account

To log in we will have to use the password of our email, unless we enable some of the additional login systems that we will see below. If we do not want to log in with our Microsoft account, we can click on ” Skip this step ” to create an account based on username / password as always. Once logged in, further configure « Windows Hello «.

This section will allow us, for example, to configure a PIN so that, instead of having to enter our password every time we are going to log in to our computer, we can do so directly from that PIN. Once the PIN has been entered, we continue with the installation. Click on “Next” and the next step will be to activate OneDrive, the Microsoft cloud, in our Windows 10. We can also enable (or not) the use of Cortana, the Microsoft assistant that will help us with reminders, will help us find things and also tell us bad jokes . Next, the installation wizard will finalize its last settings. After several minutes, our Windows 10 will already be installed and ready to be used.

Here in the rumor, we listen that windows 11 release date will launch officially after some time. The day and date are not fixed but of some websites, it’s around 3 to 4 months. check for more information about windows 11 https://windows11updat.com/

Repair and replace damaged Windows 11 files SFC

Windows 11 operating systems have thousands of files, some of them are constantly open and used by the system or by installed applications or programs. It is nothing strange that sometimes due to this activity or for other reasons such as viruses, power outages, etc. They are damaged. Windows 11 sometimes repairs these damages automatically as will be seen below, but when there is some kind of conflict on our computer, one of the first measures should be to manually check the integrity of the operating system files. It is necessary when we receive unexpected error messages, applications close for no reason or the computer reboots seemingly for no reason. How to do it? It is not difficult at all. Windows 11 includes an easy-to-use tool, although little known, called “SFC” or “Microsoft Resource Checker.” In this article, we explain in a detailed and simple way, how to use this application to know if there are damaged system files and in that case repair them.

win 11

SFC, the Microsoft Resource Checker examines the integrity of all protected system files and replaces the wrong versions with the correct ones from Microsoft. In a few minutes check and check all system files, if you find any damaged replace it with an original copy. It searches for it in a database created during the installation of the system called DLLCACHE, if it is not available, it requests that we insert the installation disk, extract it from it and replace it. SFC works only through the command line (the black MSDOS window) that is, it does not have the screen or the executable like other applications. No advanced knowledge is necessary, just follow the instructions and be guided by the images shown below.
